| Marissa Here :] I feel compelled to give my feelings on All Time Low's sophmore main-ishstream album, Nothing Personal. I've been a fan of this band for a long time. I discovered them before you could find anything of thiers in a store, when you saw them at warped tour and weren't getting run over by scene girls who think they belong in moss pits and absolutely I love them. They were kinda like a younger, less raunchy version of Blink 182 to me. But this new album is not the band that I fell in love in. It's too polished, too edited, too co-wrote. It's not the All time Low that I know and love. While the album is good (not great) and you can still see traces of the old All Time Low, it's nothing that I expected. In some cases thats a good thing, but in this case it's terribly disapionting. The album itself is good. I feel that "Weightless" may be my own personal anthem, but it's not what I think All Time Low is. It's like it's from some other cook cutter pop-punk band that I'll hear on the radio or between shows on MTV, but will inevitably forget about, nothing personal. If any other All Time Low fans are out there I'd love to hear your thoughts! especially if you disagree, I love hearing the other side :]]] |
